Bugaboo as a Brand!
Are you looking for a high-end stroller for your kid? Trust me when I say, there is no other brand that I trust more than Bugaboo. The construction quality and level of variety this brand offers is unparalleled. There is no other baby equipment seller that can offer you this much. On top of that, I absolutely love the diversity they have in their price ranges. Anyone can find anything they’re looking for as newborn parents.
At Bugaboo, the Fox stroller is a commendable option if you’re looking for a high-end luxury pram. However, if budget is an issue for you, there is the Chameleon option you can check out if you want to. There is a huge range of options on that lineup as well that you can check out too.
As far as Fox is concerned, the brand has launched some latest upgrades in this lineup that you can check out. It is one of the most lightweight strollers on the market, and that is something parents love, including me!
So, in this article, I will compare the model’s Bugaboo Lynx with Fox 2 to better understand what significant differences are between the two.
But first, I will create a comparison table of both models and then do a quick review to overview what you will be signing up for.
|Bugaboo Fox 2
|Fox 2 Pushchair
|From birth till the age of 4
|Birth (with carrycot/cocoon) to 3 years

|Forward-Facing and Parent-Facing.
The Bugaboo Lynx is among the latest additions in this Dutch luxury brand’s all-terrain category of buggies and happens to be very lightweight as compared to other models on the market. In my experience, this pushchair made my life a whole lot easier because it came with all the essentials that a parent would require from a high-quality pushchair. It is a very lightweight stroller that is here to make your life so much easier than before.
The pushchair is designed to work in the country as well as cities. You can use it whenever, wherever you like. I found the Bugaboo Lynx Stroller to be an amazing addition to the Bugaboo family since they have managed to make it lightweight and thoroughly functional. It comes with an under seat basket and has a maximum weight capacity of 22kgs which is commendable. You can expect this stroller to last for a long time.
The Bugaboo Lynx comes in a small packaged box which was quite surprising considering the box packs a carrycot and a pushchair. The components of the pushchair are made out of high-quality material. But keep in mind, there are a lot of small pieces that need fixing together so it will take some time for you to get everything together. The whole installation process was quite effortless. It took me nearly 40-minutes to put everything together while I was taking care of my newborn. So it’s a win-win for me on the installation.
The Bugaboo Lynx comes with a detailed manual that has all the instructions you need in a pictorial format which makes things a whole lot easier. I was very impressed at seeing the size of the carrycot. My baby is pretty big for his age and I can guarantee this pushchair will last him for more than 4-years. I found this stroller a great choice for mums with larger babies who have difficulty finding an adequate stroller or pram that can accommodate their baby well.

Moving on, before I start comparing both of these models with one another, it would be befitting that you take a brief look at everything that Fox 2 has to offer you. You deserve to know why so many people recommend Fox 2 and what other upgrades it has come with.
We are not sure whether you know about it or not but Fox 2 itself is the upgrade to the original Fox stroller. The stroller featured a more ergonomic seat with better, more enhanced reclining positions along with a fast-folding mechanism that brought so much ease to the parents. Now you can easily close the pushchair up with a single push of a button. There is also some additional storage space on this stroller in the form of a second compartment below the seat. You can keep all of your baby’s essentials in this storage space when on the move.
Say goodbye to carrying an additional baby bag when the Fox 2 can simply accommodate all of your baby’s essentials. The Bugaboo Fox 2 was designed while keeping maximum convenience for babies and parents in mind for everyday adventures and strolls. The stroller also features a high-quality hood with two peekaboo windows for better airflow and ultimate sun coverage. I think this stroller would be the ultimate choice for parents who have to travel a lot. I was able to stay connected to my baby when walking around in the park due to the two windows.
As far as aesthetics are concerned, you’re simply going to fall in love with how elegant this stroller really looks. It is sleek and stylish, available in different color customization options for seats and canopy. Moreover, I also think that Fox 2 is very lightweight as compared to most of the other pushchairs on the market. I had no trouble dragging it on board public transport when going around town.
Despite its enigmatic and lightweight construction, the Fox 2 feels very light and has a maximum load capacity of 22lbs. You can use it until your kid is 5-years old, so think about it as a long-term investment.
- Can handle all sorts of terrains
- Folds with a seat on and off
- Lightweight yet robust
- Premium design and quality

Bugaboo Lynx Vs Fox 2 – Features Comparision
I am comparing the significant features of both these strollers below to declare a winner, in my opinion.
The Bugaboo Lynx doesn’t come with complete pram fabric. You will have to purchase it separately for around $300 if you want to use this stroller for your newborn baby.
But, the Fox 2 includes this fabric, which is what all the cost difference comes down to. In my opinion, Fox 2 takes the score over here because it has more functionality at a reasonable price, something you will have to spend additional money on if you purchase Lynx.
The wheels on both these strollers are made out of high-quality material. However, the Fox 2 does feature puncture-proof wheels which is all a parent can ask for.
On top, the wheels on Lynx only feature a suspension system at the front tires, whereas on Fox 2, a solid suspension system has been integrated on all four wheels to ensure a smoother ride for your child. So, as you can see for yourself, the Bugaboo Fox 2 is a clear winner here.
The weight difference is 4lbs between the two. Once attached completely, the Lynx weighs around 24lbs, whereas the Fox 2 weighs 28lbs. I don’t think this is that big of an issue, but it is up to you. But if I have to declare a winner over here, I will call Lynx, a winner due to its lightweight.
The fabric quality of Bugaboo Lynx and Fox 2 is almost the same. However, you get a couple of more fabric options in Fox 2 than Lynx. Also, the Lynx and Fox 2 both have canopies that feature peekaboo windows to ensure better airflow.
You can also customize the color of your stroller as per your liking where Bugaboo Fox 2 is concerned. You have more fabric and color options that give this stroller an upper hand. So, this is where I will call Fox 2 a winner.
Both of these infant strollers are compatible with car seats. They will work just fine with Bugaboo car seats, but you will have to purchase adapters separately to install a car seat from a different brand. So I guess here, I should call it a tie between the two.
Although Fox 2 is quite pricey, I still think, in my opinion, it is the ultimate winner. The Fact that Lynx doesn’t come with complete pram fabric like Fox 2 does is reason enough for me to put my money on the latter. When I am buying a stroller for my child, my ultimate goal is to ensure that my kid can use it from the day they were born. Lynx Stroller isn’t something that I can use from the get-go, which is why I find the $300 between both these prams, not worthy enough.
Moreover, the Fox 2 also feels very comfortable and compatible with different car seats, which is why I should go for it. Despite their resemblance, I think what matters more is how the stroller functions, and without a doubt, the Fox 2 works better.
So, yes, this is everything that I had to say about both these strollers. I hope your time was paid off reading about everything I had to say. Now you will have a better idea about where to invest your money.
